Siths Vs. Goths
Somehow we managed to see Episode III on opening night. All credit goes to Corin, who bought us and Lance tickets in advance (No, she didn't camp out in line, at least that's what she told us). I felt a little silly, a bit like an imposter, waiting for the doors to open along with the children and adults who had been counting down the days. They, in their costumes and carrying light sabers (fake ones, of course. Oh wait, all light sabers are fake). I do like seeing movies on opening days, if only for the audience's unbridled enthusiasm, which in this case meant cheering even for the previews. So, if the 7 O'clock Episode III Lloyd Center audience is any predictor of the success of future films---Cinderella Man will bomb and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is going to be hugely successful. I think the latter's preview actually garnered a standing ovation from a group of 10 year olds in the front row. As for the film we went to see, well, I've discovered that my cat is a lot more like Yoda than I had originally thought.
