One Blog Over The Line

Tomorrow we reconvene to figure out what songs we will play on tour aside from the new ones. I am the worst one with the old songs, there are hardly any that I like to play. I prefer One Beat and newer. But at least the older ones have a new life in the live show; they often resurface with new meaning and energy and I always find a way to get back inside of them. We are going to try and play some different old songs this time around. We also have to figure out the cover tunes.

Yesterday I bought the new Spoon record, a band that puts out records in the very same years that we do; it has been this way for a while. I have only listened to it 10 times, so I don't feel it's fair to make a comment about what it is. I am excited to have it, I will say that much, and excited to discover more about it.

I have been wearing my orthopedic moon boot. I stepped off the dark stage at the Barfly in London only to put all of my weight down on someone's bag instead of the floor. My foot rolled to one side and I ended up with a few small fractures. I'm hoping it's healed by the time we leave for the US tour. Otherwise, I will need to get a "fashion" moon boot to match my other one. We'll see......

The Woods is out soon, finally. This has been the longest wait.-cb
